The year 2016 is regarded as a milestone, when MonoXilitis company came to an agreement with the Saint Paul’s Monastery and took up the vertical management of the monastery’s metochi in the Monoxilitis location, implementing an innovative program in Mount Athos, with the aim of producing and promoting the metochi’s goods in the Greek market, as well as in the foreign markets under the brand name MONOXILITIS.

The fundamental element of our philosophy is our commitment to the traditional way of manufacturing our cheese products by only using local and fresh milk from the mountainous and hilly pastures of Mt Erymanthos.The company’s processing plant is being developed on a privately owned area of 20.000,00m2. The modern building infrastructure of 4.000m2 includes optimum high technology mechanical equipment, with a daily treatment capacity of 60 tones of milk. The facilities boast a fully equipped control laboratory, as well as a biological treatment plant.
